Plum trees blooming during the winter. December to February is the best time to view the plum blossoms around Taitung, the best place for flower gazing is Lunshan Village. The Taimali area is the largest producer of sugar apples, daylily flowers and roselle. Sugar apples are delicious and in season July through August and November through February.

Leisure Farms in Guanshan-Bike Town
Qingshui Nongchang in Guanshan Town is another popular attraction in Taitung. It is a leisure farm reconstructed from an old rice factory and a warehouse. The Farmers’ Association renamed it as “Guanshan Town Rice School”. Visitors can learn everything about rice and experience the process of rice making, from seed to table. Visitors can try different rice products and purchase edible gifts and souvenirs to take home.
